The CwellynDream Competition
In May 2020 we launched the CwellynDream Competition for someone to win our lovingly restored stone cottage on the Llyn Peninsula in North Wales.
Before we launched CwellynDream, we spent many months researching every aspect of running such a competition - from the UK Gambling Commission regulations, to the logistical aspects of setting up the website. There was a lot to take in, and we were determined to get it right first time. There have been too many stories of unsuccessful home competitions in the past, it was clear to us that the only way to change the narrative was to run the competition in a fair, transparent and professional manner.
After successfully concluding the CwellynDream competition in September 2020, we decided to take everything we learned about responsibly running a home prize draw, and use it to help others navigate the process!
- Exceeded our minimum ticket sales goal in just 3 months
- Raised over £65,000 for The Children's Society
- Successful and engaging social media campaigns (Facebook, Instagram & Twitter)
- Covered by over 20 media outlets including print, online, TV and Radio (see below)
Throughout the CwellynDream competition we attracted press coverage in both local, national and international news outlets - including a spot on the evening BBC news! This sort of press coverage is pivotal to a competition's success, and we retain excellent relationships with our press contacts.
